1. Who we are

GivCode ("we", "our", "us") operates the website at givcode.com. We run a community platform for sharing referral codes fairly. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at hello@givcode.com.

2. What we collect

We collect the following information when you use GivCode:

• Account information — your email address when you sign up or log in.
• Referral codes and links — codes or referral links you submit to the pool, along with the associated service.
• Claim activity — records of which codes you have claimed and whether you confirmed using them.
• Payment information — if you purchase a lifetime unlock, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive a confirmation of payment but never see or store your card details.
• Usage data — standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used to operate and improve the service.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Operate the give-to-get referral pool (matching claims to codes)
• Process payments and verify lifetime access
• Detect and prevent abuse (e.g. fake codes, spam submissions)
• Send transactional emails related to your account (we do not send marketing emails)
• Improve the platform based on usage patterns

We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Third-party services

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate GivCode:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your account data and referral codes are stored on Supabase infrastructure.
• Stripe — payment processing for lifetime unlock purchases. Stripe has its own privacy policy.
• Vercel — hosting and content delivery. Standard server logs may be retained by Vercel.

5. Cookies

We use cookies only for authentication (to keep you logged in). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

6. Data retention

We retain your account and activity data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or fraud-prevention purposes.

7. Your rights

You can at any time:

• Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of any material changes by email. Continued use of GivCode after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
